HAPPENING NOW AT MMVTC JAN-APRILL 2026

Community Outreach & Brand Awareness

At Marion Meyenburg Vocational Training Center (MMVTC), we actively engage with our community to create awareness about the opportunities available for skill development and self-reliance. Our outreach initiatives involve visiting areas such as Ishinde, where we interact directly with youth, bodaboda riders, and local residents by distributing informative flyers and holding meaningful conversations. This approach allows us to connect with individuals on a personal level, understand their needs, and encourage them to enroll in vocational programs that can transform their livelihoods. Through these efforts, we aim to empower the community with knowledge and open doors to sustainable careers.

Classroom Learning & Practical Training in Session

Learning at MMVTC goes beyond theory, as we emphasize practical, hands-on training in all our programs. During class sessions, students actively engage in skill-building exercises under the guidance of experienced instructors. Whether it is computer training, tailoring, or mechanical work, each lesson is designed to ensure students gain real-world experience and confidence in their abilities. Our classrooms are dynamic environments where knowledge is applied immediately, preparing students to meet industry demands and excel in their chosen careers.

Carpentry Students in Action

The carpentry program at MMVTC showcases the power of practical skills in shaping future professionals. Students are actively involved in woodworking projects, using tools and machinery to design and create furniture and other wooden structures. This hands-on experience helps them develop precision, creativity, and technical expertise. By working on real projects, students not only build their confidence but also prepare for employment or entrepreneurship in the construction and furniture industries. The program reflects our commitment to equipping learners with skills that have immediate economic value.

Agriculture for Sustainability & Food Production

Sustainability is a core value at MMVTC, and we integrate agriculture into our training programs to promote self-sufficiency and practical learning. Students actively participate in cultivating and planting crops, gaining hands-on experience in modern and traditional farming techniques. This initiative not only contributes to food production for the institution but also equips students with valuable agricultural skills that they can apply in their communities. By encouraging sustainable farming practices, we aim to nurture a generation that values food security, environmental responsibility, and economic independence.
